“CTA’s alternative strategies
studies and analyses are second to none.”

If you can't specify what you want, you'll never know what you'll get. CTA employees are skilled in the process of identifying, collecting and verifying functional requirements - the first and most essential step in system design.

CTA's reputation for requirements development is so well-regarded that CTA is defining and publishing the process for requirements development for the Military Health System.

The main features of our requirements support activities are:

  • Organizing and facilitating functional requirements sessions,
  • Ensuring full participation by affected parties,
  • Maintaining records of meeting and decisions,
  • Ensuring requirements are vetted through appropriate channels,
  • Utilizing a centralized requirements depository (DOORS) to manage and track functional requirements,
  • Ensuring that appropriate stakeholders are available for ongoing requirements and systems discussions,
  • Reviewing and monitoring system acceptance by users, and
  • Ensuring that new user requirements for deployed systems are managed and tracked.

CTA is proactive in ensuring that the Requirements Process is:

  • Consistent, ensuring continuity over time,
  • Traceable, with all aspects being captured and linked from inception through delivery of product by the developer, and
  • Repeatable, allowing room for constant improvement.

At CTA, we build the requirements that the future depends upon.

Experience

CTA managed the requirements for designing a new Industrial Hygiene support system for the Army, Navy and Air Force. CTA provided much-needed stability to the project, developed an approved charter to establish Service representatives as functional proponents, organized active work sessions to resolve issues, and utilized automated requirements repository (DOORS) to ensure traceability and contract support.
